Social Media App Privacy and Data Deletion

This notice covers Social Media Integrator and its Instagram integration, Social Media Integrator-IG, operated by Tinker & Twirl Books to manage our own brand account, @tinker_twirl. The integration is for authorized adult account managers.

Information used by the integration

We use the connected Instagram account's identifier and username, access credentials, and published media identifiers, captions, timestamps and links. We also store prepared artwork, captions, alternative text, publishing status and operational error records.

Purpose and service providers

We use this information to prepare and publish authorized posts, verify publication, prevent duplicates and maintain our posting schedule. The current publishing workflow does not read private messages or retrieve follower profiles. Meta processes API requests and published posts. Shopify hosts artwork that Meta retrieves from public image links. Our computer and automation tools process the publishing queue and operational records. This notice supplements our website privacy policy.

Storage and retention

The working access token is stored in the operator's macOS Keychain. Account settings, prepared content and publication records are stored in the publishing workspace. These records remain until manually removed; disconnecting the app does not automatically erase them. Images uploaded for publication are publicly accessible, and published Instagram posts are visible according to the account's settings.

Disconnect the app and request data deletion

1. In Instagram's Apps and Websites settings, remove Social Media Integrator or Social Media Integrator-IG to revoke its access.
2. To request deletion of locally stored account information, credentials or publication records, email n.alkobi@gmail.com with the subject Social Media Integrator data deletion. Include your Instagram username and describe the information you want removed. Do not send passwords or access tokens.
3. We may need to verify that you control the connected account before acting on a request. Specify whether your request also concerns artwork hosted on our website or posts already published on Instagram.

Removing app access does not delete Instagram posts. Account owners can delete posts directly in Instagram. Meta and Shopify may retain information under their own policies.
